Reports are out claiming that Southampton are threatening Newcastle United’s deal for Bordeaux midfielder Henri Saivet.
The Daily Star Sunday reported that the Toon are hopeful of tying up a £3.5million deal for the Senegal star who plays wide or in the centre of midfield.
But Saivet, 25, fancies a move to the south coast, where Bournemouth are also interested.
The Cherries – along with Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Swansea – watched Saivet strike a brilliant goal in Bordeaux’s 2-1 Europa League defeat at Liverpool last month.
