Great news for all Barcelona fans as defender Eric Abidal has agreed terms with with the Catalan club over a new contract.
It is reported that the France international fullback has settled on a new three-year deal with Barcelona and will put pen to paper when he returns to the Nou Camp later this week.
It is also believed that Barcelona have also increased Abidal’s buyout clause to £60 million, well aware that Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is keen to sign the defender.
Abidal moved to Barcelona from Lyon for €15 million on 30 June 2007 and has played 56 matches for the Spanish club. Abidal also has 52 caps to his name playing for France.
