It has been revealed that AC Milan are continuing to increase their interest in Zenit St Petersburg’s Axel Witsel.
Corriere dello Sport claims that the Rossoneri are extremely eager to lure the Belgian midfielder to the San Siro but are prepared to wait until after next summer’s European Championships.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with 26-year-old Witsel and although they were quoted an exorbitant £73million by Zenit in the summer, remain in pursuit.
It is has been suggested that Witsel could become available for closer to £20m at the end of the season which would make him much more attractive to potential suitors, including Milan, who may go after the former Standard Liege and Benfica man if he impresses for Belgium at Euro2016.
