Anderlecht completed a perfect record in Europa League Group L with a comfortable win over Lokomotiv Moscow in Brussels tonight.
Sacha Kljestan and Fernando Canesin struck within six first-half minutes to set up the Belgian side’s sixth successive win after they had fallen behind to Vladislav Ignatiev’s opener.
Second-half goals from Marcin Wasilewski, Matias Suarez, the competition’s leading scorer with seven goals, and Guillaume Gillet completed what turned into a rout.
Amongst those goals Lokomotiv substitute Dmitri Sychev netted a consolation penalty and an 89th-minute effort as his side progressed despite the large defeat.
