Andrea Pirlo has expressed his delight after moving to Juventus.
The 32 year old midfielder was officially presented to the media by his new club on Wednesday following his decision to accept a three-year deal.
Pirlo said : “I chose Juventus because, along with Inter and Milan, it is the most important club in Italy, Europe and the world,”.
“They also want to get back to winning. It has been a few years that they have been without success and my decision was based on this.
“I’m someone who likes to win and I believe this is a team with the greatest motivation to do that. This club wants to get back to its previous levels.”
The Italian international has signed a three-year deal with the Turin giants whom he has always considered a force of Italian football.
“For me Juventus were the team to beat, a Scudetto rival and the games against them were always important,” he added.
“There was a desire to beat them because they were always one of the strongest sides.”
