Arshavin

Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin has admitted that the team is falling short against the major teams.

The Russia international forward has savaged the side for being soft at the back, too short to cope with set pieces and desperately lacking a focal point up front.

Arshavin was reported saying that the fact that Arsenal have lost against out direct rivals this season signifies that the team is not good enough.

He added that the team plays good football, but that is not enough. He then said that Arsenal scores a lot of goals, but always let in one or more.

At 5ft 7in, Arshavin has his own physical limitations, but he is not the only player who is weak in the air.

Arshavin then said that Arsenal are not good on set pieces, and that is bound up with the fact that it does not have many tall players.

He also said the every other team has an advantage over Arsenal in this area.

He revealed that Chelsea were much stronger than Arsenal when it came to physical power and that things would have been better in attack for Arsenal if it had tall players.

He then went on to say that Arsenal had nobody capable of holding on to the ball.
