Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has admitted that he is having to reign in the enthusiasm of summer signing Alberto Aquilani.
Aquilani, who made his first-team debut in the midweek Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal, is expected to miss out against Fulham due to illness.
Benitez told reporters that in terms of fitness, Aquilani is doing very well and that his ankle is healing well.
Benitez said that the problem Liverpool has now is that Aquilani has a virus, so it will be difficult for him to be available for the Fulham clash.
Benitez also said that assessment will be made in the afternoon to see how Aquilani is feeling as the was a little bit sick yesterday.
The manager also said that Aquilani wanted to play against Arsenal and that he was really pleased to play.
He also said that Aquilani wants to play against Fulham but the club will have to decide how he feels first.
