Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger Glad To See The Back Of November

Reports are out claiming that Arsene Wenger is desperate for Arsenal to experience a change of luck before the New Year.

The Gunners endured a tough November which saw them fail to win in the Premier League while losing a number of key players to injury.

The weekend’s 1-1 draw with Norwich City provided casualties in the way of Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla, adding to the already missing Francis Coquelin, who was cut down the weekend prior at West Bromwich Albion.

As the North Londoners embark on a very important month of action, Wenger is hoping to forget November’s woes as he prepares his Gunners for a serious tilt at the Premier League title, while indicating that the likes of Theo Walcott and Laurent Koscielny could be fit for Saturday’s clash with Sunderland.

“Yes [I’m glad November is over] because in the last couple of weeks we lost Francis, Alexis and Santi – basically three players in two games,” Wenger told Arsenal.com.

“That is of course too much, but hopefully we now have Theo not too far away, and Koscielny coming back too.

“I believe first of all it’s always a disappointment to lose the players at an important moment of the season. But on the other hand, it’s a great challenge to take for the team and a great opportunity to show that we are ready for a fight and we can deal with it.

“We prepared ourselves to go through periods like that, and I’m convinced the players are ready.”
