Reports are out claiming that an Arsenal supporter who confronted manager Arsene Wenger has been banned for attending matches for three years.
25-year old Luke Bryant jumped over the fence and onto the technical area during the Gunners’ eventual 2-0 loss to Southampton at St Mary’s on New Year’s Day.
Bryant stopped near Wenger, shrugging his shoulders and pointing to the pitch, and has now received the sanction from the Southampton Magistrates Court.
“This experience has not been a pleasant one,” Bryant said.
“The moment I stepped onto that pitch and saw the Arsenal manager, I felt guilty.
“It was stupid – five minutes of madness.”
Bryant was placed under a banning order for three years, fined £500 and was also ordered to pay £200 court costs.
