It has been reported that Arsenal starlet Hector Bellerin believes his decision to leave Barcelona to join the Gunners as a 16-year-old has ‘paid off’.
After making the move to the Emirates Stadium in 2011, Bellerin initially spent some time on loan at Watford, before managing to break into Arsenal’s first team last season.
The 20-year-old made 20 Premier League appearances for Arsene Wenger’s men last season and is delighted with how his career is progressing since leaving the Nou Camp.
“It has paid off,” Bellerin told Revista de La Liga.
“I am very happy with the decision I made. It was hard, but I always say the train comes just once and you either take it or you don’t.
“I took it and I am very happy with the opportunity Arsenal have given me and very happy to be in the position I am in today.
“I’ve always said the reason I came to Arsenal is because I want to stay here and I am not thinking about going anywhere else.”
