According to reports from Metro, Arsenal are trying to tie up out-of-contract midfielders Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky to new deals.
It is said that the Gunners are confident of getting Spanish veteran Arteta to sign a new deal while it might prove tricky to extend the contract of Rosicky.
The Czech Republic midfielder has previously expressed his discontent at a lack of playing opportunities and hinted at a transfer move in January. Rosicky has featured in 23 games for Arsenal this season, mostly as a substitute, scoring three goals.
Both of the players’ deals run out in the summer.
