Arsenal Midfielder Jack Wilshere Determined To Make First Team Comeback

Reports are out claiming that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is eager to make a comeback to the first team as he looks to get back to full fitness.

The England international midfielder has been out of action since November with an ankle injury but is closing in on senior action and is hoping he can step up his output at training in order to make an impact on Arsene Wenger’s side.

The central midfielder has played a couple of games with the U21 team against Reading and Brentford over the last week and is hoping for a first team return before the season ends in May.

“Training (at Arsenal) with the quality and intensity, that is what I need coming back from injury,” he said.

“You can play as much as you want in the Under-21s, but you cannot get that intensity of the Premier League. In training here, the little eight-a-side and keep balls is top level, and that is what I need.

“Everyone looks forward to the training sessions, it is short and sharp, everyone is fighting for a position in the team and you can really tell that.”
