Interesting news are out and it has been reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Fulham defender Brede Hangeland in the coming days.
It is said that Arsenal are now ready to make a bid for Hangeland, who will cost in the region of £10million.
The defender has impressed ever since he joined Fulham from FC Copenhagen for £2.5m in January 2008 and played a major role in their run to the Europa League Final this term.
Hangeland turns 29 next month which is against Wenger’s preferred policy of signing young players, but the success of Sol Campbell’s acquisition on a free transfer in January has made him have a rethink.
Wenger has recognised he needs to combine youth with experience and sees Hangeland as being a good partner for Thomas Vermaelen.
