Reports are out claiming that Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud admits he came close to joining Celtic when playing for Tours in L2.
The French international striker made the admission when explaining his choice of joining Montpellier over PSG.
“Yes, there was a PSG interest through Alain Roche. But I preferred the president Nicollin’s speech and where Girard saw me in his proposed game.
“This influenced my transfer.
“My dream was to play in the Premier League and playing for Celtic could have been a great showcase for attention in England. And I always thought Celtic was a great club.
“It was a difficult choice, but it was the best for me.”
