Reports are out claiming that Chris Smalling has signed a new contract with Manchester United.
The 25-year old defender has committed to the Red Devils until 2019, putting to bed speculation that Arsenal were keen on talking to him in the summer.
Smalling, who has been at Old Trafford since 2010, was thrilled to be given the chance to put pen to a contract which will see him remain with United well into his career.
“I’m delighted to sign my new contract. I am so proud to play for such a great club,” said the former Fulham centre-back.
“We have developed as a team over the course of the season under Louis van Gaal and we are now playing as a complete unit.
“This is a very exciting time to be at Manchester United, we are all determined to get back to where we belong and competing at the highest level.”
