Reports are out claiming that Hull City legend Dean Windass has told son Josh to reject a new contract offer from Accrington Stanley.
Arsenal have been among several clubs keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, with reports a £1m deal on the table from the Premier League big guns.
Josh’s father Dean told the Hull Daily Mail: “Josh has been doing really well at Accrington Stanley and was heavily linked with quite a few clubs in the papers last week, one of those being Hull.
“He’s been offered a new contract by Accrington and I have told him as his father to turn it down. His agent has said the same thing.
“Josh loves it at Accrington and he loves the dressing room environment there, which is important for a player, but unless Accrington turn down an offer for him in January, which I cannot see them doing, then he will be moving on.”
