Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he will go with experience in goal for today’s derby match against Tottenham.
Arsene Wenger looks set to replace young Italian goalkeeper Vito Mannone with Manuel Almunia in goal.
It is believed that Almunia has been available for Arsenal’s last two matches since recovering from a chest infection but Wenger has chosen to stick with the 21-year-old Mannone.
Wenger revealed that Almunia, now age 32, is desperate to start for Arsenal.
Wenger told reporters that a player who is on the bench always wants to play, that is of course always the same.
He added that the job of a professional football player is to perform when he plays and when he does not play to do everything to play again.
