Premier League club Arsenal FC are poised to swoop for Torino’s highly-rated defender Angelo Ogbonna.
It is believed that manager Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the Italy Under-21 star and wants to strengthen his defence when the transfer window reopens in January.
Ogbonna, now age 21, has been earning rave reviews in Serie B this season and is regarded as one of the best young talents in Italy.
It is also believed that Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan have also been keeping a close eye on his development.
However Arsenal look the strong favourites to clinch his signature and Ogbonna has admitted that he would love the chance to test himself at the top level and will keep all his options open.
Ogbonna told reporters that he knows exactly what he wants and that he is not closing the door on anything.
The defender also said that his objective is to improve and reach the highest level.
He added that his first dream has been achieved and that he has managed to make my professional debut.
He went on to say that there will be time to see what the options are on other clubs.
