Reports are out claiming that Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta is certain that new teammate Petr Cech will set a positive example for him and the rest of the Gunners squad.
Cech spent over a decade at Chelsea, in which time he won the Premier League four times, and Arteta is sure his experience will come in handy at the Emirates next season.
“[He brings] experience, commitment, I think he will be a really good example for the other lads because his ambition is intact, even though he´s won many trophies with Chelsea,” said Arteta.
Cech fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge last season and lost his place as Chelsea number one to Belgian Thibaut Courtois, but Arteta is certain the Czech´s ambition will be key to his success.
“When you get to him you realise that it´s why he´s won.
“And the decision he´s made as well, to come here, because he knows he´s going to get some pressure and some stick from the Chelsea fans..
“He still wanted to compete in the best league in the world, at one of the best teams in the world as well. So it says a lot about him.”
