It has been revealed that Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is in regular SMS contact with Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Rosell texted the Spanish international this week to tell him to stay calm as he haggled over the Spaniard’s price with Arsenal.
The World Cup winning midfielder had hoped everything would be settled on Monday, but two days later the deadlock remains – hence Rosell’s timely text.
Those close to the Gunners captain say he is becoming increasingly exasperated by Barca’s brinkmanship and also suspicious following the emergence of Thiago Alcantara in preseason.
Rosell has urged him to stay calm, but Cesc’s confidants say it is easy for the president to suggest this as he isn’t the one who has to see Arsene Wenger every day.
