It has been reported that Barcelona striker Luis Suarez praised PSG after victory in France in the first-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal.
The former Liverpool striker struck twice in the 3-1 win.
“We weren’t that superior, we were smart,” the Uruguayan noted, going on to praise Barça for being “really switched-on from the first minute” of the encounter.
“We had to show intensity from the off so as to take the game by the scruff of the neck,” said Suárez, who also denied that PSG posed any less of a test because of their long absentee list.
“We shouldn’t take anything away from our efforts; we ran our hearts out all match.”
