Barclays Premier League Fixtures 3rd-5th October 2009/2010

Owen is out injured but Adebayor is back, another week another drama unfolds in the Barclay’s Premier League 2009/2010 season.Man City and Spurs are serious contenders to shake up the usual “top 4” this season and will be interesting to see what happens in the end, and amazingly Man City play on Monday yet again.

The main talk now is “sicknote” Owen who is out for 3 weeks, it was presumed that he could have played the 2 remaining England qualifiers but now is totally out of consideration, i guess the good news for him is that he’s going to be a dad for a 4th time soon.

Prediction Match of The Week:

This is too easy, even your grandma could predict the match of the week, it has to be the match between Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Blues lost against Stoke last week but bounce back to win 1-0 in the Champions League while Liverpool had a reverse situation, winning stylishly against Hull City but going down to Fiorentina 2-0 in midweek.

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 14 Premier League home games since losing to Arsenal in November 2008.
The Blues have averaged 26 shots per game in the top-flight this season, Liverpool are second with 22 per game

Chelsea have fired in the most shots (127), but Liverpool have

mustered the most shots on target (65).

Fernando Torres has scored nine goals in his last eight Premier League matches.

The Reds have scored 56 goals in their last 18 Premier League matches since they last failed to find the net (v Middlesbrough in February

Liverpool have scored 22 and conceded 10 goals in the league this season both record highs for the club after seven Premier League matches.
