Champions League finalists Bayern Munich still have hopes of keeping their star midfielder Franck Ribery.
The French international winger is wanted by Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona ahead of the summer market.
But, after Bayern secured a place in this season’s UEFA Champions League final, chairman Uli Hoeness remains hopeful that the club can convince Ribery to sign a new deal following the recent allegations regarding his private life.
Hoeness told reporters that : “We are keen and we have supported him in every aspect with regard to this,”.
“Mark van Bommel was even visiting him at home.
“I know this has all moved Franck and his wife very much, but it is a fact that our position has not been worsened at all.
“Everyone from our club has behaved well throughout this, everyone supported him and absolutely cared about him.
“This was a matter of course, though, as he has done nothing wrong.”
