Blackburn Rovers remain hopeful of landing Real Madrid hero Guti.
It is reported that Rovers chairman John Williams will let Sam Allardyce chase his dream of signing Real Madrid legend Guti – but have put a halt on any move for a new striker.
Allardyce has a fighting chance of landing Guti, as revealed by Hotline last week, but the club could only afford his terms if he is THE big Rovers capture of the summer.
Blackburn have now shelved moves for attacking targets Aruna Dindane and Frederic Piquionne as Allardyce tries to get an answer from Guti.
The 33-year-old has been offered mega-money from Turkish giants Galatasaray, but Rovers are hoping that old Real team-mate Michel Salgado will be able to persuade Guti that Blackburn is a better move.
