Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has insisted he will not sign a new contract with the French club.
The Morocco international forward, who has been closely linked with Arsenal has decided not to sign a new contract but says it does not necessarily mean he will not be at Bordeaux next season.
Chamakh was close to leaving the Stade Chaban Delmas during summer but les Girondins officials failed to agree a fee with any of the clubs who were keen on his services.
The 25-year old reveals he does not want to rush any decision on his future and is just focusing on his game at the moment.
Chamakh told reporters that he has decided at the moment that he is not going to sign a new contract, but that does not mean that he will not be at Bordeaux next year.
The forward revealed that he has seven to eight months to make the biggest decision of his life and does not want to be rushed.
He added that the door is open for him to stay with Bordeaux and nobody is pushing him out.
He also added that he will make sure he does the right thing for his life and career.
