Reports are out claiming that Branislav Ivanovic has urged Chelsea to get back to their brilliant form of last season.
The reigning Premier League champions were beaten 3-1 at Everton on Saturday which was their third defeat of the new campaign.
Chelsea have also conceded a league-high 12 goals in five matches this term which Ivanovic hopes can be sorted out as soon as possible.
“I say one thing and this is true,” Ivanovic said.
“We were one of the best defensive lines in the last couple of years but this is a team. Not just the back four, also the players in front. As a team, we played very well (last season) and because of that we got the results.
“We have to get back to this form quickly. We have to defend as a small team and try to win the games on our defence. It is very difficult, especially now, when you see that we are not in our top form. I hope we will change it soon. We are getting punished for all our mistakes.”
