Houston Dynamo striker Brian Ching was delighted with his goal scoring performance for the USA in their friendly victory over El Salvador.
Ching told reporters that sometimes when you sit and watch the first half you kind of get to watch the defense and see how they are reacting.
He added that what he wanted to do in the second half was put himself in good positions and that he did just that.
The striker also said that he tried to get everybody involved and hold the ball and lay it off and that went well today.
Ching also added that anytime you play well it gives you a little bit of confidence and he hopes that he can keep that going for whatever his next game is, into the season and hopefully to the World Cup.
He also said that it is only one game so you should read too much into it, but it was a good start to the season for him and hopes that he can build on that.
