England boss Fabio Capello is set to hold talks with striker Wayne Rooney in regards to the players temper.
Following a warm-up match with South African outfit Platinum Stars earlier this week, the Manchester United man was cautioned for swearing at referee Jeff Selogilwe and following the match, the official warned Rooney that if he was to continue his abuse of referees and linesmen then he may face further consequences during the World Cup.
Capello is hoping he can nip Rooney’s on-field language problems in the bud before the tournament starts so referees have no reason to caution him for abuse.
The Italian is desperate for Rooney to be on form during the tournament but does not want disciplinary problems to get in the way.
