Good news on USA international striker Charlie Davies as it has been reported that the player is making positive progress as he recovers from a horrific car accident.
According to his agent Lyle Yorks, After undergoing surgery Monday to repair a broken left elbow and on Tuesday to stabilize facial fractures, Davies was able to sit up in bed on Wednesday and was able to take his first steps since the accident on Oct. 13 outside of Washington D.C.
It was also revealed that Davies has begun physical rehabilitation, and his spirits have been lifted by the more than 10,000 e-mails of support received from fans in the U.S. and around the world.
Additionally, he has taken calls and received text messages from fellow U.S. MNT players and his teammates from FC Sochaux.
