Everton took full advantage of a defensive horror show by Chelsea to grab a point in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea dominated a topsy-turvy game in west London but their inability to deal with set pieces saw them concede three times and drop two points which could prove crucial in the title race.
Everton took a shock lead through Petr Cech’s own goal before Chelsea roared back thanks to strikes by Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.
Substitute Yakubu drew Everton back onto level terms just ahead of the break only for Drogba to net his second of the day on 59 minutes and hand the advantage back to Chelsea.
But Louis Saha’s fortuitous header just four minutes later handed Everton a share of the spoils while Chelsea have now gone four games in all competitions without a win.
