Reports are out claiming that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to lure Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge and has issued a plea to the club’s board to make a move happen.
The Mirror is reporting uncertainty over the long term futures of Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao has been a source of concern for Mourinho, with both strikers failing to find their best form so far this season.
Higuain is understood to have been on Chelsea’s wish list for some time, but officials at Stamford Bridge believe the striker may not become available until next summer.
The move would see Higuain reuinite with former boss Mourinho, who he spent time with at Real Madrid.
The Argentine international is also linked with a move to Arsenal.
