Reports are out claiming that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for Diego Costa.
The Sunday Mirror says the sale of Costa was considered last summer, but Jose Mourinho – after much consideration – decided to keep the controversial striker.
Costa’s Stamford Bridge future was a subject for discussion after only one season, following a tail-off in form.
But a failure to find world-class striking additions meant a possible sale did not materialise.
It is also thought Costa’s standing as a popular member with the squad influenced the decision to persevere with him.
But now, Chelsea would part with the 27-year-old – as long as they can recruit replacement firepower.
