Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all circling Juventus for defender Giorgio Chiellini.
The 25-year-old has attracted interest from the Premier League in recent months but his representative revealed the Italy international wants to stay in Serie A and that the club are keen on keeping him. However he did caution that Juve must make it worth his client’s while.
His agent, Davide Lippi, said of Chiellini’s intentions: “The idea is that of staying, but it takes two to make a marriage. If, as Giorgio said yesterday, Juve want to keep him then he will stay. But they have to show they want him.”
Although the player wants to stay in Italy, Lippi gave hope to the Manchester clubs by hinting that contract talks were currently frozen.
He said: “The talks were started with the old directors. Since then we haven’t spoken anymore. We are waiting for the situation to evolve. The new directors haven’t called us. We are at their service.”
