Reports are out claiming that Chelsea have been told to go after Mario Gotze this summer.
The Sun reports that incoming Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has informed his old club to steal a march on Premier League rivals Liverpool in the race for Gotze.
Jurgen Klopp has been heavily linked with the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who he managed at Borussia Dortmund, but it is believed that Chelsea have commenced negotiations with the Germany international.
Ancelotti, who will replace Pep Guardiola in Munich at the end of the season, has reportedly told incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte that Gotze will be available in the next transfer window and has implored the West London club to make a move.
It is understood that that Chelsea would have to pay £35million to land the 2014 World Cup hero.
