It has been reported that Chelsea could be without star midfielder Cesc Fabregas for this weekend’s top-of-the-table Premier League clash with Manchester City.
The Spaniard limped out of the Blues’ Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool on Tuesday night and went straight down the tunnel for treatment.
The former Arsenal captain collided with teammate John Terry and sustained a leg injury which forced him off the Stamford Bridge pitch immediately.
It has been reported that Fabregas, who leads the league in assists this season, is likely to face a race against time as the league leaders prepare to host second-placed City on Saturday.
