Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has revealed that Zinedine Zidane was his idol as a kid.
The Belgium international star has been compared to the French great by national team manager Marc Wilmots which has been welcomed by the 24-year old who has emerged as one of the Premier League’s best players.
“It’s a really nice thing to hear because everyone knows Zidane was my role model; we play a different style, but if I can compare to him then it is a great honour for me,” said Hazard of the Real Madrid and Juventus legend.
“I watched him so much when I was younger, almost every game I could. He is my favourite player, for sure.”
