Clarence Seedorf is delighted to have signed a new one-year deal with AC Milan.
The Dutch veteran had spent the last week pondering his options before renewing his Rossoneri deal until 2012 today.
The 35-year-old midfielder told MilanNews : “I have never moved for financial reward in my career,”.
“Money was never an issue.
“There were never any problems of an economical nature. I just needed to reach an agreement with the club, an outfit who I have a great relationship with.
“I wanted to still feel important. Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani gave me the answers I was looking for and that is why I remained.”
Seedorf has enjoyed much success with the Rossoneri since his 2002 switch from Inter and he is targeting more glory.
“After the Scudetto, I want us to confirm ourselves in Europe. I want my fifth Champions League. I’m hungry to reach more targets. There is no better place to win than at Milan.”
