Two first half goals was enough see Manchester City record a 2-0 win over Mexican side Club America in the first of their pre-season friendlies in San Francisco.
Ryan McGivern (pictured) gave City the lead on 17 minutes, slotting the ball into the bottom corner after picking up a blocked shot from Shaun Wright-Phillips.
The England international then went on to double City’s lead 10 minutes later, slamming the ball home from 20 yards after a pinpoint pass from Edin Dzeko.
Manchester City dominated the first first 45 minutes of the clash with Club America forced to sit back and defend throughout.
New-signing Gael Clichy showed decent pace down the left wing, while Dzeko bossed the midfielder and youngster Vladimír Weiss also impressing.
