Cristiano Ronaldo believes he could have produced a career best ever season with Real Madrid – if not for injury.
The 25-year-old Portugal international is proud of his efforts at the Bernabeu and believes it could have been the best season of his career had he not suffered an ankle injury in a Champions League clash with Marseille which ruled him out for 12 matches late last year.
Ronaldo told reporters that : “Before the game against Marseille I felt pretty good, motivated and confident,”
“Then I missed 12 games. I believe that could have been my best season but that’s life and injuries are a part of that.”
