It has been reported that the father of Denis Cheryshev admits the Real Madrid winger could join Valencia in January.
Dimitri Cheryshev has confirmed his son came close to joining Valencia last month.
“It is true that Denis came close to signing for Valencia. In the end I do not know what happened.
“Now we have to wait until December. Yes, I imagined him playing in Valencia,” said Dimitri.
He added: “I think my son is above me and plays differently. He has more quality than I had.”
