Valencia and Spanish international striker David Villa has revealed that he wants a move to English Premier League champions Manchester United.
Local newspapers have reported that Chelsea will make a £33million bid for Valencia’s super Spanish striker David Villa but it is now said that he would rather go to rivals Manchester United.
It was also reported that club owner Roman Abramovich has approved a mega bid for the hitman who will be sold by his hard-up club in the next transfer window, and a top agent has been brought in to do the deal.
The Stamford Bridge outfit are planning the raid and hope to have their transfer ban lifted or suspended to let them bring the superstar to London at the second attempt.
However, the Villa camp have revealed that they have already turned down Chelsea once in the last window and the player would still prefer to go to Manchester United.
A source close to the striker told reporters that David Villa was approached regarding the Chelsea move in the summer but the striker did not fancy it as he was not sure how often he would play or whether Chelsea played his style.
The source also revealed that Manchester United is Valencia’s first choice in England, but there is a problem with that because of the price and age.
It was also said that if a deal can be agreed with Valencia, David Villa will join United sooner than expected.
