It has been reported that DeAndre Yedlin leads the list of names nominated for the 2014 US Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year.
The 21-year old Seattle Sounders full-back, who will join Tottenham next year, broke into Juergen Klinsmann’s USA squad during 2014 and is the firm favourite to land the award.
Also on the shortlist for the young player award is Fulham midfielder Emmerson Hyndman, USA U17 star Christian Pulisic, former LA Galaxy academy ace Haji Wright and Mukwelle Akale who is being linked with Spanish side Villarreal.
