Portugal international midfielder Deco has revealed that he is delighted with his decision to stay with Chelsea this season.
Various reports over the summer suggested that Deco was set for a switch elsewhere, although nothing materialised.
Deco has instead knuckled down at Chelsea, after holding talks with new manager Carlo Ancelotti, and has re-established himself as an integral part of the Blues’ first-team squad.
Deco told in an interview that last season was the worst of his career because he never had so many injuries before.
He also said that when a player is not included in the team, the thoughts of leaving will surface because of what might happen the following season.
Deco however said that it is different this season as he knows that he is well and fit and can play.
Deco also said that he wants to help the team and believes that Carlo Ancelotti trusts him.
Deco also revealed that when Ancelotti arrived at Chelsea, the both of them spoke the manager told that he wants him to stay.
The midfielder said that he needed that and he is now enjoying that decision.
