Chelsea star Didier Drogba is set to shake off a broken arm and make a sensational comeback to lead the Ivory Coast in its World Cup opener against Portugal on Tuesday.
Drogba sustained the injury in a warm-up match against Japan a week ago which required surgery and it was feared he may miss one or two matches for his country but manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has given him every chance to be right for kick-off.
Ivory Coast manager, Sven Goran Eriksson said : “If the game was today or tomorrow, he wouldn’t play,”
“But there are still some days. He might play against Portugal.”
