It has been reported that Espanyol have rubbished claims of being in talks with Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
Valdes, frozen out at United, has been told to find a new club by manager Louis van Gaal.
It was claimed Valdes is in talks with Espanyol about a return to Spain.
But Espanyol directors have told Sport the reports are wide of the mark.
Indeed, Valdes’ agent, Gines Carvajal, has stated the former Barcelona keeper would prefer to find himself another Premier League club this season.
