It has been reported that former Arsenal striker Alan Smith has hailed the impact of Heung-Min Son at Tottenham.
Smith wrote in the Telegraph: “Son’s winning goal against Crystal Palace on Sunday capped an afternoon full of endeavour and ideas, just what Spurs needed at a time when Harry Kane is searching for the scoring form that made him such a hero last season. But White Hart Lane might have another hero now.
“The crowd certainly appreciated his efforts on being substituted here towards the end. Son had done more than enough, both against Palace and Qarabag last Thursday when he got off the mark with a nice brace in the Europa League.
“Important to emphasise that we are not talking about someone who will blind opponents with skill, nor indeed race past with indecent haste. By the same token, we are not talking merely about a willing work horse, an honest trier who just gets by on a faultless attitude. Son is much more than that.”
