It has been reported that former PSV Eindhoven stars are urging the current team not to lie down against Manchester United.
The two teams kickoff their Champions League group campaign this week.
It will be a repeat of the 2000 meeting, which saw PSV earn a 1-1 draw in Eindhoven.
Former fullback Chris van der Weerden declared: “It happened then, so why can they not do it now?”
Wilfred Bouma also believes PSV can upset United: “We are still PSV! Why not?”
The Dutch warmed up for their United tie with a 6-0 win over SC Cambuur.
