Interesting news are out and it has been reported that Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu is set to open talks with his club over the status of his contract.
It is said that Mutu and Fiorentina will go through a conciliatory session after Fiorentina demanded he give up wages during his nine-month ban.
The Romanian international striker is still suspended after failing a drugs test in January for a banned appetite-suppressant that was contained in herbal diet pills he took over Christmas.
Fiorentina announced they would ask him to dock his wages during the ban, but Mutu has appealed against the decision.
Mutu’s lawyer Paolo Rodella said : “Now the ball is in the court of the Lega Calcio who will choose a conciliatory judge,”.
“If the conciliation fails, we will go back in front of the Lega Calcio.”
