It has been reported that Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder turned down a move to Liverpool.
The Premier League giants made a late bid to bring the Dutch international to England before yesterday’s transfer deadline, but the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star chose to stay in Istanbul.
“If there are clubs interested, you should be happy about it.
“But with all due respect to Liverpool, which is obviously a big one, they have not been playing in recent years for trophies,” said Sneijder.
