Tottenham defender Gareth Bale scored a sensational hat-trick against Italian champions Inter Milan in their Champions League group A clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The in-form defender however took no solace from the fact his side went down to Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Bale told ITV1 : “It’s hugely disappointing. We all knew we could do better in the first half. We started off sloppy and we paid the price,”.
He added : “It just wasn’t a lively start and we paid for it. I think next time we’ll learn from this mistake and hope not to have a start like that ever again.”
